Brisbane City Council bin collection days
Brisbane City Council is a local government area in Queensland. Home Heads Up keeps track of your bin nights here and sends one clear reminder the evening before collection.
Automated
Brisbane City Council publishes official waste collection data on its open data portal. Home Heads Up looks up your property when you enter your address and shows your general waste, recycling and garden organics dates — including which bin goes out in which week.
Bins Home Heads Up can track
General waste, recycling, garden organics, FOGO, glass and hard waste — whatever combination Brisbane City Council runs. You choose which bins apply to your place during setup.

How the reminders work
The evening before collection you get one notification: “Bin night tonight — general waste + recycling.” If strong winds are forecast overnight, the same message suggests putting the bins out in the morning instead — one heads-up, not two.
If the data is ever wrong or stale
Schedules refresh daily. If the council source becomes unavailable, the app keeps your last known schedule and shows when it was last updated, rather than silently presenting stale data as current. You can switch to manual setup at any time.
